Dear Friends,

I am so excited to announce that last week I was chosen the winner of Spring 2020 Writing Prompt Contest organized by Voyage Scribe! I am humbled by their choice and grateful for the chance to participate in the competition.

When I first read the rules for entry into the contest, they sounded very interesting. All entrants were to write an essay from the point of view of a famous travel attraction, not about the attraction but as if that attraction was writing a story from its own perspective.

I could have chosen any attraction in the world but I chose this specific one because I felt a special connection to it. I won’t tell you what it is now because there is a bit of a suspense in the story and I don’t want to spoil a surprise, 🙂 I will only say that I was lucky to visit this attraction about 20 years ago and a lot of things changed since then. My kids, for instance, won’t be able to have the same unique experience at this attraction, no one will, because the world around us is very different from 20 years ago.

I have those infamous photos at home that the attraction is talking about and I did wait 2 hours in line to get them. 🙂 The story has a bit of humor and a bit of drama and I sincerely hope you will enjoy reading it. The full essay can be found on Voyage Scribe blog, the organizer of the Contest.

I would very much appreciate if you let me know what you think about the story in the comments below. Your feedback is very important to me!

Thank you for being my loyal fans and have a great day!
